What is the Welcome Center Region Hildesheim?

The Welcome Center Region Hildesheim was founded on August 1, 2019 and officially opened on February 13, 2020.

One of the core missions of the Welcome Centre is to support the welcoming culture or Willkommenskultur in German in the city and the county of Hildesheim. The Welcome Center Region Hildesheim is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) of the EU and by the city of Hildesheim. Each institution contributes 50% to the project that finishes on July 31, 2020. During this period all services of the Welcome Center are provided for free to all target groups.

The Welcome Center Region Hildesheim supports local companies, professionals with and without a family and students

Our target groups are:

  • local companies and businesses
  • national and international professionals and their families
  • potential students, students and university graduates
  • trainees
  • former residents of Hildesheim who return to Hildesheim


Local companies…
can seek free advice from the Welcome Center Region Hildesheim. After a personal meeting the Center-Team prepares individual sets of information based on the meeting. This information will make it easier for a company to find, employ and keep on new professionals.

Professionals and their families…
will get help and support from the Welcome Center Region Hildesheim for all areas on the subject of arriving and living in and around Hildesheim. Apart from personal advice the professionals receive information material that they need and if necessary, they are directed to further important agencies.
